Regional Sales Director for North America

Main tasks:

  • Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) products and/or related services
  • Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers
  • Acquiring and qualifying new customers, managing existing relationships
  • Understand customers’ security needs and translate those needs into a deliverable solution
  • Presents security concepts and solutions to the customer
  • Identifies and closes deals with corporate customers
  • Helps the North American Channel Manager identify, acquire, evangelize, develop, educate and motivate partners in the territory
  • Accurately forecasts his/her territories’ business utilizing
  • Develops business leading to profitability and growth
  • Handles sales ready leads coming from Balabit’s Marketing Department
  • Initiates marketing campaigns with Marketing Department
  • Represents Balabit at professional events
  • Meets annual sales growth targets
  • Establishes long term successful partnerships
  • Monitoring and reporting on pipeline forecast opportunities and activities
  • Identifying territory related blockers and enablers related to product strategy and development
  • Interacting with sales, presales and marketing departments


  • University degree, preferably in business
  • At least 5 years proven sales experience, in the IT software sector ideally with Security background
  • Strong knowledge of North American market; both customers and partners
  • Proven track record of overachievement
  • Strong technical orientation - knowledge of current security technologies - combined with excellent business sense
  • Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the ability to network at high level and build strong business relationships
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, handle objections, close deals, etc.
  • Target oriented, responsible and reliable person, who works well with team to achieve company and individual goals
  • Willingness to travel
